László Herman is a glass artist living and working in Slovenia. Although his cycles of works differ in their technical execution and subject matter, in all of them, we find a fundamental sense of a committed and passionate search for the truth.

His work, framed in cycles, covers a wide spectrum of diverse themes and motifs: history, scientific-technical (r)evolution, questions of living in ethnic minority, Hungarian mythology, the history of his own family, the hopelessness of the little ones, people victimized by political manipulation, or reflections on global economic subjugation.

László Herman has developed a technique to create his own particular voice. Among the various technical possibilities, it was the stained glass that attracted him and which he developed further, but in his own way, thanks to a random process. Eventually, he managed to cut the price of the initially expensive technique of glass fusion to a reasonable level.

The exhibition is open to the public on weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm until 24 May at the FiguratiF Gallery - MaJel Rovás Centre, 42 Alžbetina Street, Košice, Slovakia.
