The exhibition of Attila Duncsák from Ungvár, living in Kosice, opened in the FiguratiF Gallery of MaJel Rovás Center on September 29. with the title 'My Kassa'.

 

In November this year will be forty years since he settled in the city of Rákóczi and Márai.

In addition to becoming a citizen of Kosice he never ceased to forget being from Uzhorod as his ancestors were deep-rooted there. Although the democratic atmosphere of  his school in St.Petersburg, the museums and the city, still at the age of 42 he wished to get closer to Europe. The experience of his travels especially in Venice and France, the beautiful landscapes of Transcarpathia, the architecture, the sculpture, the intellectual legacy of Márai as well as pleasant and bitter experiences of his life all appear in his paintings and collages.

For this exhibition such paintings have been selected that the public had never seen before or had not seen for more than ten years.

The exhibition can be visited every weekday from 10 am to 6 pm until October 25 in the Gallery FiguratiF (Alzbetina str.42.)
